Perfect fun ride for families & the less experienced rider.
Be part of the Ballarat Cycle Classic and support cancer research.
The course takes in the entire length Yarrowee trail giving cyclists the opportunity to ride all the way to the Gong Gong reservoir and back. Taking in Lake Wendouree and part of the road course, this ride involves a gentle climb along the banks of the Yarrowee river to ‘The Gong’ along the well maintained shared use Yarrowee trail giving you a small taste of cycling in the bush.
Once at ‘The Gong’, stop for a break at the refreshment stand, check out the impressive dam wall, take a family selfie, then turn around and enjoy the downhill back along the Yarrowee trail to black Hill and then onto Lake Wendouree.
No big steep climbs, a chance to chat with friends and family along the way and of course a great fun day raising much need funds for the Cancer Research.
Approximately 15km road, 13km shared use trail.
